2008 Community Involvement

Throughout the 37 years Merritt Island Air and Heat Inc. has been in business, community involvement has been a part of our core values.  In 2008 we supported numerous Little League teams and clubs, and sponsored several events.  We are looking to do the same moving into 2009.

However, this past year we went a step further with our first annual Merritt Island Air and Heat golf tournament, held at the LaCita Country Club golf course in Titusville, Florida, which benefitted the National Cancer Society.  We had over 90 participants and raised $5,000.00 for the National Cancer Society

Also in 2008, we donated a 3-Ton 16 Seer Amana System for the “Toy’s For Kids” drive, sponsored by 107.1 A1A.  We were able to raise $3,400.00 worth of toys for underprivileged kids in the Brevard County area.  The Cherry Family who won the auction on December 11th, 2008 received a $7,000.00 Amana System for $3,400.00.  Not only did the underprivileged kids win in Brevard County, but the Cherry Family did as well.
